Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have been charged again by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for breach of regulations.
The Porcupine Warriors were charged for breaching Disciplinary Code, 2019 and the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols, 2025.
This had to do with the Matchday 12 draw with Medeama SC. A late header by captain Samba O’Neil gave Asante Kotoko the vital point.
However, incidents surrounding the match called for the charges.
“The Club is alleged to have failed to ensure the safety of the Match officials by allowing unauthorised persons into Zone 2 (tunnel) at half-time, where officials were threatened and attacked.”
The club has been given up till Wednesday, December 3 to respond to the charge.
This comes barely a week after the club was charged for “inciteful” comments on its X page.
“The club is alleged to have published comments on social media that were inciteful and posed a risk of violence against the match official, which constitutes misconduct that brings the game into disrepute.”
