The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has handed strict sanctions to two players over infringements on the code of conduct in the Ghana Premier League.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohamed Camara has been handed a five-match ban for “unsporting behaviour towards a match referee”.
He has also been fined GH¢20,000 and formally warned by the Committee.
This follows his assault on referee Prince Okoto Ntiamoah after the Asante Kotoko 1-0 loss to Karela United on Matchday 25.

“The five-match ban takes immediate effect, and the fine is to be paid within fourteen (14) days of notification of the decision,” the Committee said, adding that the Guinean will receive more severe sanctions in future if he misconducts himself.
Nations FC’s Raymond Oko Grippman has also received a five-match ban.
He was found guilty after committing a foul in the 3-0 loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday, March 22 and deliberately stamping on the thigh of Albert Amoah.
His ban takes immediate effect and he has also been warned about receiving more severe sanctions in any future misconduct.
