Asante Kotoko SC have officially announced Abdul-Karim Zito as the Head Coach of the club.
The former player was given temporary charge of the team after the sacking of Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and named the Technical Director.
Within three months, the former Dreams FC coach won the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup and the 2025 President’s Cup.
On Sunday, Chairman of the Executive Council of the club Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awuah I announced that Karim Zito will lead the club in the next two years.
He added that the former Black Satellites Head Coach will lead the club in its return to continental club football.
“We have given him a contract,” Nana Apinkra I insisted.
“He is the one we are going with especially for our campaign in Africa.”
On his part, Karim Zito expressed happiness with the announcement and promised to “do my best so we bring happiness and joy to you”.
Zito is not new to this job, having handled the side before.
His last took charge of a club in the Confederation Cup in the 2023/24 season when Dreams FC, on their debut, marched into the semi-finals.
