Former Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko were on Sunday held to a 1-1 draw by debutants Young Apostles in their second game of the season.
The Wenchi-based side drew first blood in the 51st minute through Daniel Lomotey after a goalless first half.
However, striker Emmanuel Antwi managed to secure the equaliser for the Porcupine Warriors to end the game 1-1.
It was the second game for the Kumasi-based side, playing away from home following the shutdown of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for renovation works.
They had won their first game of the 2024/25 season over Karela United but had to sit out in Week 2 due to the postponement of their game against Nsoatreman FC, who were engaged in the CAF Confederation Cup.
There was high spirits as the club was playing their first home game despite doing so at the Len Clay Stadium.
With the draw, Asante Kotoko drop to 7th position on the table.
Young Apostles, on the other hand, remain 13th on the log.
Asante Kotoko will next travel to Berekum to face Berekum Chelsea while Young Apostles will host Aduana Stars in their next game.
