The playing and technical bodies of Asante Kotoko on Wednesday were at the Manhyia Palace to present the two recent trophies won to life patron Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to beat archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, July 6 to win the 2025 President’s Cup.

Last Saturday, the Ghana Premier League giants beat South African giants Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 on penalties to become the 2025 Toyota Cup champions.

The two trophies were presented to the Asantehene as the team also announced preparedness for the 2025/26 season.

Chairman of the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah expressed confidence in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign next season, insisting they will meet the likes of Kaizer Chiefs in continental tournament.

He argued, therefore, that for the club to hold Kaizer Chiefs in their backyard and to clinch a win in the face of a newly-constituted team gives all hope about Karim Zito’s side.

He sought the blessings of the overlord of the Asante Kingdom for next season.

A customised jersey for the 2025/26 was presented to the Asantehene.
