The live patron of Asante Kotoko SC, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has named a new board of directors for the Ghana Premier League club.
This was occasioned by the expiration of the tenure of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) chaired by Nana Akwasi Awuah Apinkrah.
The IMC will, however, oversee the management of the club until the end of the season.
In a press release issued on Friday, February 27, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction James Osei Brown was named the Chairman of the Board.
Chief Executive Officer of Rocksure Kwasi Osei Ofori will be the Vice Chairman, according to the press release.
The other appointee to the board is Kofi Amoa-Abban, who is the Founder and Chief Executive of Rigworld Group.
The board is expected to assume statutory oversight responsibility of the club immediately.
On Friday, the Chief of Staff at Manhyia presided over a meeting at which the new board was introduced to the IMC in order to ensure a smooth transition.
