A heavy-duty truck loaded with lumber has killed a nursery pupil and left 2 others in critical condition at Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South East district of the Ashanti region.
The deceased, identified as Daniel, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, when the driver of the truck loaded with lumber lost control and killed him.
Reports indicate the boy was trapped under the cyber logs that fell from the truck with Registration Number GE 9901-11 while on his way from school.
Two other children who were trapped under the logs have also been injured and are receiving treatment at the Bechem Government Hospital.
Some residents who spoke to our news team said the boy was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
“Daniel together with two other students were walking along the road back from school when the accident happened.
“The cyber logs on the truck fell from the truck while in transit but unfortunately, it fell on the children killing Daniel in the process,” the residents said.
The demise of the nursery people has left a family in mourning, and the community is still trying to come to terms with the tragic loss of a young life.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing after police in the area took over the disaster scene.
