The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council is excited at the prospects of the first edition of Ashanti Fest Trade Fair Expo which kicked off on 6th April, 2026 to 12th April, 2026.
The organisers managed to surpass the target for exhibitors.
Sources from the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, indicated that, the Council had set a target of 250 exhibitors, but they managed to surpass that as the figures hit 300.
The event is currently underway at the Kumasi Jubilee Park and expected to attract more people.
Due to this, Ghanakoma Keteke stormed the venue to engage the exhibitors and and buyers. The initiative is aimed at boosting local commerce and connecting producers with new markets.
The event, has provided a unique platform to showcase regional products and innovations while encouraging investment and trade partnerships.
The Ashanti Trade Fair/Expo is expected to attract businesses across various sectors, offering exhibitors the opportunity to connect directly with buyers in new and dynamic ways.
Organizers say the fair will not only stimulate regional economic activity but also highlight the entrepreneurial strength of Ashanti and its role in Ghana’s broader trade ecosystem.
Speaking on Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9 FM in Kumasi with Sir John, on Friday,April 10,2026, some of the exhibitors were excited to join forces with the organisers and other institutions.
This flagship event brings together key stakeholders from across Ghana and beyond, including farmers, exporters, agribusiness, policymakers and development partners.
They said the event has linked them to other partners and it will help expand their businesses.
“We thank the organisers for the exposure given to us and we are hopeful that this will expand our businesses,” they said.
They called on the organisers to organize such events often.
