22-year-old Emmanuel Appiah has been inflicted with serious cutlass wounds at Pomaa Pokuase, a suburb of the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central region.

The suspect, 20-year-old known as Uncle Joe is on the run as the police are on a manhunt for him.

The victim is said to have been demanding a ₵20.00 from the suspect as his share of a booty they both worked for but had been refused his share for about two weeks now.

Uncle Joe’s father had revealed Emmanuel Appiah reported the incident to him, that his son, Joe, was owing him (Appiah) ₵20.00.

Uncle Joe, who was not pleased with the development went to Appiah’s house with a machete to attack him.

Reports indicate Joe attempted stabbing Appiah through the stomach but became unsuccessful when he held the blade. The suspect pulled the cutlass through Joe’s hands cutting 8 of his fingers.

The suspect absconded after inflicting wounds on the victim.

The case has since been reported to the Assin Fosu Police Command and investigations have been launched whilst the victim is receiving treatment at the Assin Fosu Polyclinic.
