Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson has inaugurated a new Board of Directors for the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), charging them to remain focused on the bank’s core mandate of supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector.

Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Dr Forson highlighted the crucial role of agriculture in national development.

“As I emphasised during the ceremony, no country develops without sustained agricultural development,” he stated.

He further called on the Board to be purposeful in its work.

“I have therefore tasked the new board to remain focused and guided by their primary mandate—serving Ghana’s agricultural sector,” he added.

The newly inaugurated board is chaired by Kenneth Kwamina Thompson, with Edward Ato Sarpong serving as Managing Director.

Other members include Andrew Dari Chiwitey, Siisi Essuman-Ocran, Dr Prince Arhin, Misbahu Mahama Adams, Wing Commander Samuel J.A. Allotey, Courage Akanwunge Asabagna and Abdul Nasir Saani.
