Many have thronged the family of late Christian Atsu to sympathise with them over the passing of the former Ghana international.

Among the lot today was three-time African Footballer of the Year, Maestro Abedi Ayew Pele and his family.

Abedi’s two sons, Andre and Jordan Ayew were teammates with the 31-year-old Feyenoord Academy discovery at the senior national team, the Black Stars where they played many matches together in the national colours.

Atsu’s remains was trapped under the rubble of his apartment in Turkey when an earthquake hit them with neighbouring Syria on February 6.

His body was retrieved almost two weeks after the disaster and transported to Ghana Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Abedi commiserated with the family with his wife, Maha Ayew and daughter, Imani.

During their game over the weekend in the English Premiere League, Abedi’s youngest son, Jordan, paid tribute to his former colleague when they drew Brentford on away.
