Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed condolences to the Church of Pentecost on the passing of former Chairman Apostle Dr Michael Kwabena Ntumy.

Apostle Ntumy, who served the Church from 1998 to 2008, died on Wednesday, December 27 after a long battle with paralysis.

He had handed over to Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, who is the immediate predecessor of the current Chairman Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

“I have received with sadness the news of the passing of Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost 1998-2008,” Dr Bawumia stated on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.

“Apostle Dr. Ntumy impacted humanity and deserved the accolade ‘God’s Chosen General’,” he added.

“My wife, Samira, and I extend our sincere condolences to the immediate family and the Church of Pentecost.

“May the soul of the selfless man rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
