Three (3) persons have been severely injured by a trotro driver after ramming his vehicle into mourners at Akyem Mamanso in the Birim North district of the Eastern region.
The Saturday April 06, 2024 incident occurred at the durbar grounds of the community.
In a video chanced on by OnuaOnline, the trotro driver who caused the misfortune was displaying his skills at the funeral grounds to honour the deceased who was also a trotro driver whilst alive.
Whilst taking a second turn around after some people boarded the van, he rammed into a section of the crowd who were at the grounds, severely injuring three of them.
Some visuals taken at the grounds showed one of the victims with one leg totally fractured, being carried in another’s arms.
The victims have since been admitted to the New Abirem Government Hospital to cater for their critical condition.
