The Black Queens have arrived back home after winning Bronze at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The team, consisting of players and officials, touched down at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) at dawn Monday.

Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Iddie Adams and President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku led the delegation from Morocco.

They were given a rousing welcome by fans and supporters.

Ghana beat South Africa’s Banyana Banyana 4-3 on penalties in the 3rd place play-offs to win Bronze. That match had ended 1-1.

The Black Queens missed out of the final after losing 4-2 on penalties to hosts and losing finalists Morocco.
