Ghana’s senior national women’s soccer team, the Black Queens, will play in Group D of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco.

The draw for the tournament was held in Rabat on Thursday, January 15.

Ghana, who won Bronze at the last edition, were drawn against Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde.

It will be a repeat of the 2018 embarrassing exit of the Black Queens while hosting the tournament, playing against Cameroon and Mali in Group A.

The Female Eagles, particularly, have been a thorn in the flesh of the Ghanaians, beating them at home in 2018 and holding them in the last edition in Morocco.
