Ghana’s U-20 men’s soccer team, the Black Satellites, brushed aside their opening draw in the African Games to beat The Gambia 3-1 in Group A.
The match was played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 12.
Goals from Musibau Aziz, Abdul Aziz Issah and Jerry Afriyie were enough to give the hosts all the 3 points.
Ghana will play Benin in their final group game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Friday for a spot in the semi-finals.
Congo, who drew goalless again in their second game against Benin, will play The Gambia in the final Group A game.
The other semi-finalists in Men’s Football in the multi-sport event will be determined on Friday as Uganda play South Sudan while Senegal also engage Nigeria.
