Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo and two of his assistants, John Paintsil and Fatawu Dauda, escaped a motor accident on Saturday night.
The trio was returning from watching the Champion of Champions game between FC Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC.
Accord ing to a statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Land Cruiser in which the coaches were travelling had to avoid a head-on collision with a pick-up truck which had veered off its track.
“We are happy to report that all three members of the technical team are in stable condition and will undergo further medical assessments, as a precautionary measure, upon their return to Accra,” the GFA said on Sunday, September 1.
The three members of the Black Stars Technical Team were preparing for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the first just five days away against Angola.
”We are confident that the technical team will be in good shape and ready to lead the Black Stars in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger,” the statement concluded.
