The Black Stars are back in town hours after clinching that vital away win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Bamako, Mali.

The team travelled straight to Kumasi, where they are scheduled to host the Central African Republic in the next qualifier on Monday, June 10.

Ghana came from a goal down to beat Mali by 2-1 in what was the second away match in the qualifiers.

After a first-half deflected strike by Kamory Doumbia, the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists returned from the break to equalise through Ernest Nuamah before substitute Jordan Ayew snapped the winner on the nick of full-time.

The win propelled Ghana from the 5th position to second in Group I.

The team is set to continue camping in the Garden City as they prepare for the CAR clash.

A win could see the Black Stars go top of Group I.
