The draw for the qualifiers of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to take place in Morocco has been held.

The draw was held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday, July 4.

The Black Stars, who have failed to make it out of the group in their last two outings at the continental showpiece, will have to scale past Angola, Sudan and Niger in order to make it.

Ghana were drawn in Group F.

They will face an Angolan side they struggled to beat in the last qualifiers for Ivory Coast 2023.

A last-gasp goal by AFC Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and a 1-1 draw in Luanda ensured that Ghana qualified alongside the Palancas Negras.

A match against Sudan will be savoured by many as the Falcons of Jediane are currently managed by former Black Stars captain and coach James Kwesi Appiah.

In some of the other other crucial encounters in the qualifiers, Nigeria will face Benin in Group D. Both teams are battling for a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
