Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak SC have announced the immediate dissolution of their board.

The announcement was made via the official X page of the club.

“Thank you to our dedicated outgoing board members,” a message accompanying the poster of the announcement said on Tuesday, February 27.

Currently 9th on the Ghana Premier League table with 24 points, Hearts of Oak began the second round over the weekend on a high – beating Real Tamale United 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium – with a new coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, in charge.

The Ivorian’s appointment came alongside a new Managing Director, Delali Anku-Adiamah.

The club had announced that there would be, in March, an Annual General Meeting (AGM), at which the board will be reconstituted.

The latest development, therefore, comes earlier than hinted, making it come on suspicion about something amiss.

The current board is led by the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV with former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe as a Senior Member.
