The Landlords Association Chairman of Adansiman in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Richard Kwasi Ampofo has stated that the Member of Parliament of Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfrom, Silvester Tetteh is the cause of the bad road networks in the area.

When Onua News’ Akua Sarpomaa visited the area, the Chairman of the Association hinted that the MP for the area and the former Roads Minister, Amoako Atta visited the area and promised to provide good roads for them, but they didn’t.

Mr Ampofo added that, “we are ever ready to construct the roads, but anytime we make a move the MP stops us, with the explanation that the contract has been awarded to a roads constructor, so he won’t allow us to fix it, yet we’ve not seen anything, and the roads keep deteriorating.

Background

In June 2022, heavy rains destroyed all the access roads in Adansiman. Prior to that, the then Roads Minister, Amoako Atta visited the area with the Member of Parliament for the area and assured the residents that the government will fix the roads as soon as possible, but as at April 17, 2024, the government has not been able to fulfill its promises.
