The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has confirmed the missing of a military aircraft flying from Accra to Obuasi around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Information reaching OnuaOnline indicates that the aircraft reportedly crashed at Adansi Brofoyedu, near Akrofrom in the Ashanti Region.
Sources from the ground indicate that the aircraft and its occupants have been completely burnt beyond recognition.
According to a statement issued by the GAF Wednesday, the helicopter is currently off the radar and efforts are being made to establish contact.
The statement added that there were three crew members and five passengers on board.
