Dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has said EOCO Boss, Raymond Archer visited his home with officials who held guns.
It is unclear when the visit occurred and for which purpose but the ‘Killa Ji Mi’ hitmaker posted on Facebook on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 about the visit and bemoaned the manner in which the EOCO officials visited him.
He wrote: “Raymond Archer EOCO Boss, Ibe you go make NDC go out of power next 4 years. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for.”
Few minutes later, Shatta posted again claiming that EOCO boss is humiliating citizens.
“EOCO Boss, the President of Ghana didn’t put you in that office to come and humiliate citizens of this country…Remember, God not sleep,” he noted.
EOCO is yet to make an official statement as to why they visited Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale is a prominent Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, singer, songwriter, and actor.
Initially known as Bandana, he rose to fame in 2004 with his hit single “Moko Hoo” and later rebranded as Shatta Wale, achieving a major breakthrough in 2013 with the release of “Dancehall King,” which earned him the Artiste of the Year award at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
His music blends dancehall, reggae, and Afrobeat, with popular tracks like “My Level,” “Taking Over,” “Ayoo,” and “Already” (a collaboration with Beyoncé on The Lion King: The Gift album in 2019).
He is the founder of the Shatta Movement, an entertainment powerhouse, and has ventured into business with Shaxi, a ride-hailing service.
Known for his electrifying performances and controversial persona, Shatta Wale has won over 40 awards, including 11 at the 2019 3 Music Awards, and was named the “Most Influential Musician” on social media in Ghana in 2017.
His estimated net worth as of 2024 is around $10-11 million, amassed through music sales, live performances, and endorsements with brands like Infinix and Guinness.
