A 30-year-old man, whose name has been given as Essuon, popularly known as ‘Dee Jay’, has been arrested by the Gomoa Nyanyano police for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl.
Mother of the victim, Sarah Lamptey, has said the suspect lured her daughter to his residence and had his way with her and gave her GHC5.00 afterwards.
The mother had told Onua News that she went to dispose off refuse and returned to find out the incident.
According to her, the nine-year-old KG2 pupil told her Dee Jay had gifted her GHC5.00 upon her return from the seashore where she went to dispose off her garbage.
Madam Lamptey explained that her daughter refused to tell her what she did before the man gave her the five cedis. She revealed that she had to beat her up before she opened up to her that the man slept with her and gave her the money.
Displaying to our cameras, the panty of the little girl with a stain of blood, she said they visited the hospital three times to confirm the allegations before they were advised to seek further medical consultation at Kasoa.
“I went to dispose off garbage at the seashore and when I returned, my daughter said ‘Mom, Dee Jay has given me money, he has given me GHC5.00’. I asked her what he did for him and she said nothing and I beat her up and she confessed that he slept with her. We visited the hospital three times and they said it’s true and they told us to go to Kasoa. She is nine years and in KG2,” the mother narrated.
Meanwhile, the suspect is in police custody assisting in investigations.
