She has appealed to the Inspector General of Police to intervene and prosecute the husband to serve as a deterrent to others.

“The father was working and he went to him and heard him scream. So I rushed to the scene and saw that two of his right fingers have been slashed. I rushed him to the hospital.

“When I confronted him after returning he threatened me so I had to leave the house. Since we left he has never called. I’m unemployed and the kids responsibility are all on me now including his hospital bills. I need help. I am calling on the police authorities to apply the laws,” she appealed.

The woman has reported the matter to the Millenium City police station who are currently looking for the old man who took to his heels after committing the crime.

She says she suspects the husband committed the crime for money rituals.

Meanwhile, some residents in the vicinity expressed shock over the development saying they never suspected the old man to commit such a crime.
