A man believed to be in his 30s, Zibilla Mohamed, has been killed, stripped naked and dumped on a roadside by unknown persons at Ekumfi Esuehyia in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.
His body was dumped on the Kasoa – Cape Coast highway.
Residents say they saw the lifeless body on the roadside without clothes and believe his death could be a hit and run.
In an interview with Onua News Nana Yaw Asare, the residents say the person is a stranger but they saw his name written on his hand.
The residents say they are living in fear after seeing the body close to the roadside.
“We saw he was knocked by a vehicle with his head crashed. If anyone knows anyone by that name [Zibilla Mohammed], they should come and identify,” a woman said.
Meanwhile, Assembly Member for Esuehyia-Kutukwaa Electoral Area, Patrick Forson says he cannot confirm whether he was killed by unknown assailants or he was hit by a car.
The body has since been sent to the Saltpond Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation whilst the Police investigate the matter.
