Wassa East Member of Parliament, Isaac Adjei Mensah, has told a journalist “you need orientation” for asking him why he has failed to fix a poor road in his constituency.

The chief and residents of Domama in the Wassa East District of the Western Region in a video intercepted by Onua TV were asking for their abandoned road to be fixed for them after being abandoned since 2016.

The video has old women 70 years and above being assisted over a piece of log stretching over the river as a bridge.

Only motorcycles are able to ply the route through the river during the dry season.

The residents speaking to a Freelancer in the area, Okatakyie Ackon said their MP lacks lobbying skills and they would be tempted to change him in the next elections.

Responding to the issue on Maakye with Yaa Titi Okrah on Onua TV/FM’s morning show Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Mr. Adjei Mensah said the road has not been constructed because his party is not in power.

The MP, who became furious for hearing he has disappointed his constituents said it is not his fault that the road has not been constructed especially when he is in opposition, pointing accusing fingers on the government for not fixing the road for them.

He, however, prided in securing the pieces of logs on the river for the residents.

When asked what he did during his term as an MP with the NDC in government and also serving as deputy minister of roads at the same time, Mr. Adjei Mensah said he was able to construct about three roads during the time and there was no way government could have finished every road at the time.
