A mason by name Kobby is battling for his life after receiving a tripple reprisal of a cutlass inflicting wound he initiated at Awutu Papaase in the Awutu Senya East District of the Greater Accra Region.
According to Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare on Onua TV’s midday bulletin Monday, August 22, 2022, Kobby had informed three friends of a building contract they were all awaiting to execute.
However, the contract was due, he went for it without informing his colleagues.
Nana continued that, a fight ensued when the three inquired from him why he took the contract without informing them.
After defeating him, Kobby went home for a cutlass and return to the scene to injure his three friends with it.
The three, who had been injured went for a reinforcement from the another town to attack Kobby who is currently battling for his life at the hospital.
Some eyewitnesses whose abode Kobby run to seek refuge on the attack of the reinforcement had this to say.
“They were about 15 wielding cutlasses. We tried stopping them but they didn’t heed to our advise. Some were wounded on their backs, others in their head. It was a serious fight. He had locked himself inside the kitchen and they threatened killing him if he didn’t open,” one woman narrated.
“They were coming with force so I tried stopping them with my sister so some three of them stopped me and had their way. They said they were taking him to the police themselves. But looking at things, I doubted if they would really take him there without killing him,” a man added.
Meanwhile, the culprits have fled by the time the Awutu Ofaakor police arrived at the scene.
The police have nonetheless assured of their unrelentless effort to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to book.
