The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 40-year-old man, Samuel Bills Acquah, in connection with an alleged assault captured in a viral video in Cape Coast.
Police said they received a report of the incident on March 27 at about 9:30 p.m., indicating that the suspect had attacked the woman, with whom he reportedly has a child.
Upon receiving the report, officers proceeded to the scene and effected the arrest. The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
The Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to addressing cases of assault and ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.
