CEO of Saka Homes and members of Wanderlust Ghana Ebenezer Saka Addo Mensah has bemoaned the lack of interest from car dealerships in their adventurous expeditions.
Months after making a historic road trip from Accra to London, the first by a group of 13 Ghanaians, the team is set to embark on a bigger challenge.
They are set to travel across 30 countries in a space of three months, beginning September 30 and are expected to cover around 30,000 kilometres, journeying from Accra to Paris through to Dubai and finally to Cape Town.
Speaking on Accra-based Starr FM, the philanthropist expressed his disappointment in ignorance of the car dealerships towards the adventure
“My greatest challenge is that I think Ghanaians don’t see the value in this,” he said
“Look at my car, I don’t want to mention the brand parked in front of Buckingham Palace, I took two iconic pictures, my car for one you don’t see any in the UK and to have it parked in front of Buckingham Palace, the lexus, the Toyotas.”
According to the CEO of Saka homes, none of the car dealerships in Ghana have reached out to them to offer any form of support
“Those brands in Ghana and abroad have not done anything to support us,” he stressed.
“There is a Ford dealership in Ghana, there is a Toyota dealership in Ghana, we have spoken to automotive companies in Ghana and none of them has helped.”
