The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reached an agreement with Portuguese tactician Carlos Queiroz to be reappointed as Head Coach of the Black Stars.
This was announced by the nation’s football-governing body on Wednesday, September 2.
Queiroz, who led the Black Stars campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is expected to lead “the next phase of the team’s programme”.
His agreement as Black Stars coach ahead of the mundial ended a few weeks ago, according to the GTA, and following discussions with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, it was agreed that Carlos Queiroz would embark on a new coaching mandate, commencing with the upcoming international window.
“The GFA believes Queiroz’s extensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the Black Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter,” it said in a statement on its portal.
It assured of further details on the new mandate as well as the Black Stars’ upcoming programme “in due course”.
