The National “Cathedral project has blasphemously become an avenue for money laundering,” alleged conflict of interest perpetrated by a Board Member has warranted this statement from Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The North Tongu MP in a tweet that reveals the ‘Mother of all Cathedral Scandals‘ Monday, January 16, 2023, has a member of the Board of Trustees for the Cathedral, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, possessing another identity as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
According to documents produced by the MP, Rev. Kusi Boateng has “two personalities with different dates of birth; different passports; different TINS; different professions (Business Man and Prophet) and different addresses.”
The said Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, Mr. Ablakwa has noted, owns JNS Talent Centre Limited that received millions of Ghana Cedis in two different trenches for absolutely no work done.
“Clearly, Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng a.k.a. Kwabena Adu Gyamfi sat on the Cathedral board and literally paid his own company a staggering GHS2.6million for no work done.
“When the siphoning was completed, they captured same as “Contractors Mobilization” and presented it to Parliament hoping that they would legitimize the dubious transaction and therefore get away with murder,” his tweet contained.
The Ranking Member on Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee further revealed “Rev. Kusi-Boateng Adu Gyamfi’s JNS Talent Centre Limited received a whopping GHS3.5million from government through a Payment by Controller with swift code CODGGHAC on 23rd August, 2021.”
The former deputy minister of Education is asking for a forensic probe into the National Cathedral spending, and a dissolution of the Board of Trustees.
