A gruesome incident has shaken the Diaso community in the District Capital of Upper Denkyira West of the Central Region.
Reports say a young lady has allegedly been murdered by her jealous boyfriend in his room, after she was reportedly caught having an affair with another man.
The alleged culprit is said to have immediately left the community after the act.
Community members and friends of the lady spotted the couple in the afternoon of 9th January 2025. However, after a while, the lady’s friends were not hearing from her, hence some of them rushed to the boyfriend’s house and opened the door to his room. They found the deceased soaked in a pool blood from multiple knife stabs lying on the floor.
This has brought tension in the Diaso community even as the police are trying to control the crowd that gathered at the scene.
The deceased is said to hail from the Northern Region and has been dating the alleged culprit for a year now.
Diaso has been in the news in recent times for killing of innocent people. Last year, many people were reported to have been murdered by individuals for ritual purposes.
Meanwhile, police officers in Diaso have visited the scene and started investigation into the issue.
