Diagnosis of cancer cases is on the ascendency at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Blessed Godsbrain Smart, host of Maakye has said on Onua TV.
This, he indicated, is due to increasing galamsey activities which involves the usage of mercury and cyanide.
Ranting on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, he noted the hospital diagnoses at least 15 cases a day.
The growing menace of illegal mining in various communities he noted is worrying, after government has spent a wholesome $404 million to fight galamsey since assuming office in 2017.
