Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has extended support to several mosques as part of preparations toward the celebration of Eid Ul Fitr.
The donation forms part of efforts to promote unity, compassion, and support for Muslim communities, as the month of Ramadan comes to an end.
The beneficiary mosques include the Masjid Abdallah at North Kaneshie, Madina Central Mosque, Masalachi Kaado Nima ,Kissehman Mosque, and Islamic Research Center, Nima.
The support is aimed at assisting the Muslim community in their observance of the holy month of Ramadan, a period marked with fasting, prayer, and charity.
The items distributed included bags of rice, cooking oil, bottled water, and cash.
The Media Coordinator of the initiative, Alhaji Abdullahi Issa Monnie, said the Chief of Staff believes Ramadan is a period of reflection, sacrifice, and giving, and that, it is important to support Muslim brothers and sisters during their observance of the holy month.
Leaders of the beneficiary mosques expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that the items will go a long way in supporting needy members and ensure a meaningful and peaceful Eid celebration.
