An amount of GH₵100,000.00 with 100 bags of rice meant for the Convention People’s Party (CPP) from the office of the Chief of Staff cannot be allegedly traced, OnuaOnline has learnt.

A text message making rounds on the CPP’s platforms says the office donated the bags of rice plus the ransom to be given to party executives Monday, December 19, 2022.

But according to the piece intercepted by OnuaOnline, the items together with the money have not been delivered to the office.

The message, which appears to be drafted by a lawyer to another lawyer in the party points fingures at the CPP Chair, Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankuma who is silent over the issue despite the concerns being raised on their various platforms.

“Good afternoon Comrade Lawyer. A Happy New Year to you and your family. This news for you: 100 bags of rice and GHC 100,000 meant for CPP donated by the office of the Chief of Staff on the 19th December 2022 cannot be traced, though there had been hue and cry from the rank and file, Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankuma is adamant. You will hear of any action that members will take from now to make sure that we retrieve the stolen items,” the message read.

OnuaOnline is following the development keenly to unravel the truth or otherwise of it.
