Some media publications describing the Chairman of Kumasi Club, Dr. Richard Owusu Nyarko, as a fake doctor have been dismissed by his counsels.
The counsels in a statement issued Friday, June 9, 2023, said their attention was drawn to “the malicious publications by some media outlets” about their client indicating his status as a medical doctor is fake.
Portions of the statement has it that, “the alleged incident cumulating in the defamation case and the subsequent appeal in the civil suit titled; Richard Kwadwo Owusu Nyarko vrs Kwame Brenya, Norman Owusu Barnie, Henry Asumadu, Andy Arhin, and Kofi Owusu Ansah, the judgment of which was delivered yesterday, the 8th June 2023 does not make him a fake doctor.
“The appellant in the matter is not a fake doctor but a trained medical doctor, an adjunct university lecturer and also the 1st African to qualify to be a fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists and a diplomat of the American Professional Wound Care Association and currently matched residency/specialty medical training.”
