Member of Parliament for South Dayi Rockson Nelson Etsi Kwami Dafeamekpor has petitioned the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate government appointees and all persons indicted in the IMCIM report.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) report submitted to the Chief of Staff by Chair of the erstwhile Committee, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng cited some government appointees and party apparatchiks, as well as other individuals seriously involved in the menace.

According to the petition, all individuals, government officials and public officers mentioned in the report must be probed for the necessary legal actions to be taken against them where necessary.
