The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency, Kofi Adams, has attributed the victory of President-elect John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 Presidential Election to divine intervention.

According to the MP, while Mahama worked tirelessly to earn the trust of Ghanaians, it was ultimately the “hand of God” that secured his triumph.

Speaking to the Berla Mundi on Ghana Decides on December 11, following the official declaration of results by the Electoral Commission, Kofi Adams emphasized that Mahama’s dedication and relentless campaign efforts were unmatched.

He noted that the President-elect visited every constituency in Ghana at least three times, engaging with citizens and sharing his vision for the country.

“Even though President Mahama worked for this victory, it is the hand of God that brought it to pass. The same hand of God that has guided him through this journey will lead him as he prepares to lead the people of Ghana once again,” Adams stated.

Adams expressed confidence that Mahama’s leadership would bring renewed hope and prosperity to the nation, highlighting the faith and resilience that defined his campaign.

He called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the President-elect as he prepares to assume office on January 7, 2025.

This statement aligns with sentiments expressed by many supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who view Mahama’s victory as both a testament to his hard work and a reflection of divine favor.

The President-elect’s victory has been widely celebrated across the country, with many looking forward to his return to the presidency.

Ghanaians are now focused on the transition process, which is set to begin with the inauguration of the joint transition team by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and President-elect Mahama on December 11, 2024.
