Many Ghanaians were left disappointed Friday, December 2, 2022 when Ghana failed to sail past Uruguay to the next stage of the FIFA World Cup.
Captain Andre Ayew failed to connect a penalty kick that was awarded Ghana in the early minutes of the game which dampened the morale of the team to concede two goals in succession.

The Black Stars efforts to equalise and seek a possible win proved futile after the team failed to get even a consolation.
Just as many Ghanaians were left disappointed, Captain Andre Ayew whose penalty was saved by the Uruguayan goalkeeper had to rush to the hospital to check on his daughter who passed out after her father missed the kick.
According to a tweet made by Tahiru Fentuo, the girl is currently in a stable condition.

“Andre Ayew went from the stadium straight to the hospital to see his daughter who collapsed when he missed the penalty against Uruguay. It was quite scary but thankfully, she’s doing fine now,” he tweeted.
