Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC lifted high the flag of Ghana on Sunday, December 10 as they went to Angola to beat APC Lobito 3-2 at home.

It was a CAF Confederation Cup Group C game played at the Estadio National 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

The Ghanaians had gone into the game from the back of a 2-1 home win over Nigeria’s Rivers United, placing them second in the group.

The Angolans, on the other hand, had lost their opening games, reeling from a 3-1 loss to Club Africain just a week earlier.

The Believers opened the score as early as the 10th minute through Abdul Aziz.

The early lead was, however, cancelled by the home side within four minutes.

At parity coming from the break, the Ghana FA Cup champions took the lead again through veteran John Antwi.

That lead was doubled with a couple of minutes to end the game in Luanda.

However, the home side pulled one back in injury time, putting the score at 3-2 in full regulation time.

In the other group game, Rivers United beat Club Africain 1-0 at home.

The results see Dreams FC top the group but on the same six points with Club Africain and Rivers. APC Lobito are bottom without a single point so far.

The next round of games, the return legs, will be on Wednesday, December 20.
