The suspected suicide is being investigated of 39-year-old Roland Charwey by the Effiduase District Police Command who died at Koforidua Asokore in the New Juaben North municipality of the Eastern region.
Reports indicate the man had jumped into a well and died.
According to sources, Mr. Charwey absconded from the Eastern Regional Hospital where he had been admitted for treatment, and allegedly jumped into the well and died.
The assemblyman for Fofie Electoral Area in Asokore informed the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the police and the Ghana National Fire Service to retrieve the remains of the deceased after learning of the incident.
The motive for the suicide has not been established yet as the police have since deposited the body at the morgue for autopsy.
