The Ghana Police Service has announced that there is a road crash at Birimso bridge, on the Accra-Kumasi highway.
The accident involves a heavily loaded articulated truck.
A post on the Facebook page of the Service on July 18, said the accident involving a heavily loaded articulated truck has resulted in a complete blockade of the road for Accra and Kumasi bound traffic.
The report says the Eastern South Regional MTTD team from Kibi are at the scene and have temporarily diverted the traffic through Kibi at Nsutam for Accra bound traffic, and at Apedwa, for Kumasi bound traffic from 10 am, today July 18, 2026.
“Motorists and other road users are advised to cooperate with our officers,” the Police urged.
