Headmaster of Effiduase Senior High Technical School in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region has allegedly been harassing female students sexually according to reports.

In a petition sighted by Akoma FM’s morning show, GhanAkoma, signed by Senior House Master of the school, the District Education Directorate is being urged to investigate the headmaster over some alleged sexual harassments.

The headmaster, Richard Asiedu, is alleged to have sexually harassed some female students on campus. A situation that has compelled the Senior House Master, Ali Yeboah to petition the office of the District Education for immediate intervention and investigation.

The petitioner, Ali Yeboah whiles speaking exclusively on Akoma FM’s current affairs and political show GhanAkoma Monday, August 22, 2022, explained that “the growing concerns of sexual harassment on campus is getting out of hands. At least two female students have reported that the headmaster has attempted to rape them at his office.”

Mr Ali further added that “a parent stormed the school in search of the headmaster one morning. In short, she came to face off with the headmaster for harassing her daughter who at that time was in first year. The headmaster after sitting on the issue with other staff and the parent conceded and apologised. But since that incident, the headmaster has taken me on. He’s of the view that I am against him, hence, my reason to petition the District Education office to investigate the issues.”

Joining the discussion via telephone was the enraged parent who stormed the school to fight the headmaster for allegedly harassing her daughter sexually.

Identified as Ellen Ennin confirmed that her daughter on several counts complained that “the headmaster has been touching her sexually and even took her to his washroom inside his office but my daughter ran away so it is true. And even that day, another female student confided in me that she has been subjected to same sexual harassment by the headmaster. But when she complains to her mother she doesn’t take it up.”

The aggrieved parent further appealed to host of the show Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin for swift intervention to salvage the female students from the increasing harassment the headmaster has allegedly been subjecting them to.

Several attempts to speak with the headmaster for his side of the story proved futile as at the time this report was being filed.
