Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiah-Agyei, has urged delegates in Ashanti Region to elect leaders who will rebuild the party’s grassroots structures, restore unity, energise supporters and turn the region once again into a formidable electoral machine.

Speaking to journalists during the NPP Ashanti Regional executive election on Saturday, August 15,2026, she stressed that the current government has failed Ghanaians and the youth of the country are looking up to the return of NPP into power, to continue its social intervention, job creation and economic emancipation.

She appealed to the delegates to elect bold, affable and experienced leaders capable of leading its efforts to recapture power in the 2028 general elections.

According to her, the NPP’s next crop of leaders must be prepared to defend the party, unite its grassroots and actively work towards rebuilding the party ahead of the 2028 polls.

She said the party needs people who possess the courage, experience and commitment required to confront challenges and restore confidence among its supporters.

“I’ve told them that they should elect somebody who is very bold, fearless, active, who can unite the party base, somebody who has the spirit of the party. I think that is the most important thing”, she said.

She stressed that the party leaders must demonstrate their commitment to the NPP even before assuming office.
