Information reaching OnuaOnline indicate that the Sekondi high Court in the Western region has injuncted the parliamentary candidate of Amenfi Central, Joana Cudjoe Gyan, from holding herself as Parliamentary Candidate elect for the National Democracy Congress (NDC).

The allegations are that she forged her voter ID and NDC party card.

The order of the Court presided over by Justice G. K Gyan-Kontoh, also restrained the National Democratic Congress –second defendant in the suit –from allowing Madam Cudjoe Gyan to be held out, dealt with in any way, recognised as the duly elected NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi Central.

The order for an injunction, however, stated that the Applicants shall file an undertaking to pay damages by way of compensation to the Respondent if it turns out eventually that the Applicants, in fact, are not entitled to the order of injunction so required.

Meanwhile, when OnuaOnline contacted Madam Cudjoe for her take on the issue, she said “Ignore for now. For now I don’t want to have anything to say about it because it is an internal party issue and I will prefer that they deal with the national communications team.”
