The spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, Miracles Aboagye, has confidently asserted that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will chalk a resounding victory in the upcoming elections that will astonish his opponents.
He made this claim to dismiss polls that suggest otherwise.
According to him, Dr Bawumia has worked hard as Vice President and continues to do so. Evidence of his approval by the electorate, Miracles says can be seen in his engagement with Ghanaians which in no way tallies with polls that suggest he might not win.
Miracles Aboagye’s remarks come in response to a survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, led by Mussa Dankwah, which indicated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has a strong chance of winning the 2024 elections.
“We all know Mussa Dankwah doesn’t go anywhere to do his surveys, he cooks figures in an Excel sheet and makes extrapolations,” Aboagye said.
He expressed skepticism about the poll’s sample size, stating, “How can he tell the people of Ghana his sample size is 6,000 out of about 80 constituencies?” he said to the host of Yen Nsempa Nana Yaa Brefo in a phone-in interview on June 7.
He further accused Dankwah of working to favour the NDC, alleging that his predictions are designed to boost the opposition’s morale rather than reflect reality.
“There is no doubt Mussa Dankwah is doing a hatchet job for the NDC, and nobody needs to be told this is true,” Aboagye continued.
“Sometimes he says things and it makes me laugh. He is just a lotto forecaster, and there are bases to this. If you watch his work carefully, you’ll see it. There is little scientific process to it. He does all this to excite his party,” miracles asserted.
Aboagye expressed unshakeable optimism about Bawumia’s chances in the upcoming elections explaining that Dr Bawumia’s merit and hard work are seen and appreciated by Ghanaians who in return have given him the nod to break the 8.
“I can tell you for a fact, that come the 2024 elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will achieve a decisive victory that will astonish his opponents,” he stated.
