Black Stars midfielder Ernest Nuamah may not play a part in next month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after picking an injury in Olympique Lyon’s 2-0 loss to Monaco.
Nuamah was substituted by Georges Mikautadze in just the 18th minute in Saturday’s game.
It is unclear the extent of the injury.
The former FC Nordsjaelland player scored in Ghana’s vital 2-1 away win over Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers before helping the side to a 4-3 win over Central African Republic a couple of days later.
He was penned down for another call-up by Coach Otto Addo for the Angola and Niger games on Thursday, September 5 and Monday, September 9 respectively.
Olympique Lyon’s technical team is yet to comment on the degree of the injury.
