The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has cautioned students at the Senior High School level against all forms of examination malpractices.

He said cheating would lead to the cancellation of their results and possibly truncate their education to ruin their future.

Dr. Adutwum advised the students during a visit to some Senior High Schools within the Ashanti region.

Dr. Adutwum in recent times has embarked on an unannounced visit to some schools within the country to check what on what they are doing at a particular time.

The visit in Ashanti region has already taken the Education Minister to Juaben S.H.S, Tweneboa Koduah in Kumawu, Mansoman Senior High in the Amansie West district in Ashanti as well as Jachie Pramso Senior High among others.

Dr. Adutwum stated that “examination malpractice has caused great havoc to many people who have regretted in life, but they cannot change the hands of time.”

He encouraged the students writing the examination this year to be confident, write and pass well to enable them further their education to the tertiary level.

He also reminded them of government’s huge investment in them through the Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme and TVET, since the surest way they could justify the government’s investment is for them to pass the examination.

“You are the future leaders who will hold responsible positions and that is why your parents and the government had invested much in your education.

“I am therefore begging you to do your best and pass the examination well but we will be disappointed if you fail us,” he told the candidates.
