The Member of Parliament for Jomoro in the Western region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey has held a reconciliation exercise after the Parliamentary primaries which saw her being retained.

The exercise was to bring all on board, especially the main candidate who contested with her during the primary.

Madam Affo-Toffey was challenged by Mr. Francis Akatia Kwaido during the just ended NDC primaries.

She secured 1,574 to emerge the retained candidate for the 2024 election while Mr. Ackatia Kwaido, who has contested the seat for the third time secured 175 of the total votes cast.

The meeting was attended by the constituency executives and other supporters of both candidates, Madam Affo-Toffey and Mr. Ackatia Kwaido.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Ackatia Kwaido expressed readiness to help Jomoro retain the seat in the 2024 election. He said in an internal contest, such occurrences are expected but it is fruitful when candidates come together to ensure victory.

Madam Affo-Toffey said the move was to ensure victory in the 2024 election. She said without unity, the party will not win the 2024 election. Madam Affo-Toffey promised to work with all to retain the seat in the 2024 election.
